Oh yeah....I forgot....
I am officially on the pre-op diet. For real. No jokes. No back-peddling. No hemming and hawing. It's on.
Yesterday started it. I drank my smoothie for breakfast. I drank my shake for lunch. We went to the store last night and got a tuna steak to share for dinner with fresh green beans that we roasted on the grill. (YUM!)
Today. Smoothie for breakfast. Shake for lunch. Still drinking it. I'm so friggin stuffed - I CAN'T FINISH IT!
That TOM part of the month where I can eat a horse has past. Now I'm in that phase where one deli-thin slice of turkey would fill me up for the day. I'm just trying to finish the shake.
I have my beef jerkey that I am allowed to snack on and honestly, I cannot fathom putting that food anywhere near my lips. At this rate, dinner won't even be on the menu.
I'll enjoy this as long as I can.
So...pre-op appt ... done.
pre-op approval from anesthesiologist .... done
pre-op diet ... two days in and going strong. So if I don't eat dinner and I lose extra pounds because of it - if I can do it without a struggle - then great. I'm so not hungry, I think it's actually a possibility.
So odd.

ReplyDeleteHope you hear something soon...good thoughts, good thoughts, good thoughts!
You will get through it and the pay off will rock your sox ;) YAY!
ReplyDeleteGirl, things are moving right along for us. Thanks for all the comments on my blog, you have been such a great support for me.
ReplyDeleteNo, Dr. Spiegel is not doing my surgery, although every other commercial I see lately is for him at the Tx. Laporoscopy Center. I'm glad my Dr. doesn't require the all liquid diet, because I don't know how long I could last. Post op, I have one day of clear liquids and then one week of full liquids, which includes creamy soups, pudding, jello and thinned mashed potatos, then one week of mushies and then on to solids. He said that the sooner I get on solids, the sooner I will begin to feel satisfied. I hope he knows. I trust him. Good luck to you and again, thanks so much for all the wonderful comments.
YEAH for pre-op! One step closer!!
