So...the point of the blog was to say nevermind. :)
All weekend the "infection" got better and better. It's not healed but it's nearly almost healed and it looks just fine.
I had started applying bacitracin after last Tues' appt. And just like the neosporin, that gave me an allergic reactiion. Tis odd as I've never been allergic to either in the past, but again, c'est la vie. Who knows...it is what it is.
Well...in efforts to counteract what was going on with the allergic reaction to the bacitracin, I started applying benzylalkonium chloride. No, there is nothing that says that this should help - it just helped my brain.
But it worked. I mean, well...the allergic reaction cleared up on it's own. But the benzylalkonium chloride made a world of difference on the "spot". By Sunday, the spot was a speck.
It's not gone, it's not done and it needs to be watched closely. But it looks just fine and I'm feeling a gazillion times better about it.
In efforts to help it to continue to heal, I am not going to do the things that generally make it mad again - like swim (grrrrrrrr) and situps. No swimming just makes me sad sad sad. But situps - 'eh! There are so many other things I can do for my abs that are better all around for the whole core, so I'm not worried about those. Just means I have to change gears a bit.
Husband is pleased with the looks, too. So we have decided to keep on trying.
In other news, I canceled my appt that I had for this morning to 1) get my 0.2cc's back (or more) and 2) to have this "infection" looked at again.
(Yes, it's very annoying to have this spot/speck still there four months + after surgery. But it is what it is. And I'm watching it closely.)
And finally...ummm...not much of anything with me. Still eating and enjoying my refound capabilities in doing so. I am eating SO MUCH better now that I am not struggling to eat. I wish I hadn't spent so much time trying to convince myself that it was me. I think, though, maybe, that it might be something we have to go through. I learned a lot about the band and my relationship with the band.
Still weightlifting.
Finally took my 50 pound pictures this weekend. Here they are...
Hmmm...what else.
How 'bout a measurement comparison...
